Few basic details that the candidates must know

Name of the Exam – Karnataka Common Entrance Test

Type of exam on which it is to be conducted – State Level

Category of the exam: Undergraduate

The authority conducting the exam: Karnataka Examinations Authority

The Karnataka Examination Authority is the ones who conduct the Common Entrance Test for the undergraduate level for the admission of all the engineering courses offered by the various colleges of Kerala.

Karnataka CET 2016 Eligibility criteria

The minimum requirement for the exam is that the candidates must have a degree of 12th standard from a recognized school or any equivalent Institute. Also, the mandatory subjects are Physics and Mathematics, which are important in the section to be a part of the subjects.

The quota reference

The candidates belonging to the general categories must have a minimum percent of 45% of the total aggregate marks. While as of for the candidates belonging to other backward classes have to secure a minimum percentage of 40%. Check out complete details

KCET 2016 Selection Procedure

The selection process of all the candidates is only by the marks secured by the candidates. We know it is a very tough competition, so the preparation is too long and very hard working also.

KCET 2016 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of the exam is including the total 60 questions which carry one mark each. The question will include form the following three subjects that are

  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics

KCET 2016 Application Form

The application forms are out on the 25th of February, but the mode of examination is online for the submission of the exam.

The mode of payment of the application form is through Bank Challan. The candidates can easily pay the fees via offline or online.

It is necessary that the candidates have to provide all the details and documents while filling up the application form.

Also, keep in mind that the candidates have to submit the application form in the name of the principal of the respective colleges. Also now the admit cards are out, and the candidates can now download it from the website. The admit cards were out on the 21st of April, 2016.

KCET 2016 Application Fees:

All the candidates belonging to the general quote references shall have to pay a total fee of Rs 650. And there is a concession for the Candidates who belong to the other classes as we have mentioned above, they are likely to pay 500 Rupees for the same.

Counseling Process Karnataka CET 2016:
