For the SC/ST candidates the minimum mark is 40%. These same KCET 2017 eligibility criteria is also for the Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Unani and Yogi. All the applicants to all of the above courses should be at least 17 years if they are applying for UG degree.

For those who are applying for engineering or technology courses, then they should have cleared twelfth standard or Karnataka 2nd PUC with mathematics as the main subject and should have studied at least one of the option subjects from Chemistry, Computer Science, Bio Technology, Electronics or Biology. The candidate should have studied english language also. They should also have 45% marks aggregate in the optional subjects which is different from the common entrance test. For SC/ST candidates this aggregate would be 40%.
For candidates who aspire to study architecture, the KCET 2017 eligibility criteria will be the same except the aggregate marks that they need is 50%. They also need to appear for National Aptitude Test in Architecture and secure at least 40%.
