The Government of Karnataka has issued a Notification for allotment of seats for each division, the KCET 2018 allotment process for the is done based on the college, course and category based on the government given matrix. The detailed matrix is given on the KEA website. The KCET 2018 allotment of the seats would be done in three rounds.
KCET 2018 Seat Allotment
At first the KCET 2018 seat allotment will be done based on the merit and the priority options that would be entered in the candidates forms. The reservations that have also been mentioned by the Government would also be mentioned here. The KCET 2018 allotment for the seats for the special category, which is 3%, that includes the disabled category is done first by the computers.
After the seats to these candidates are filled up, the seats are allocated to the NCC and sports candidates. 1 to 8 seats are allocated to NCC and 1 to 5 are allocated to sports quota. Next, the general category candidates are taken into consideration. The seats are allocated as per rank, preference and merit. Next the SC/ST category seats are filled as per the options and ranks.
In case of any duality, the first preference is given to english medium students, then the rural and kannada medium students would get the seats. Another portion of seats that is reserved is the Hyderabad-Karnataka reserved seats, the eligibility of the candidates for this would be made public before students get to choose and list their preferences.
If after this, the seats remain, the KCET 2018 Seat allotment will be done to the defence, ex defence, guides and scouts category.

And that is how the first KCET 2018 seat allotment list of the students who got the admission will be posted. The institutes will then see which candidates finally take the admissions, and then carry forward the same process for the second and third list of admitted student.
